Three classifications for the Golden Tulip Hamburg Aviation
’Four Star Superior’ - ‘Certified Conference Hotel’ - ‘Hotel of the year 2008’
Hamburg, 23 November 2007 – Jan-Patrick Krueger, General Manager of the Golden Tulip Hamburg Aviation, was very busy today. With the DEHOGA classification ‘Four Star Superior’ in one hand and the VDR classification ‘Certified Conference Hotel’ in the other, he thanked his team for the good performance.
„We are very happy about both classifications. Our motivated team and our excellent service convinced the DEHOGA inspectors
of the superb quality of the Golden Tulip Hamburg Aviation. “, said Krueger after receiving the classification.
„Also the classification ’Certified Conference Hotel’ of the VDR makes us feel proud as it reflects our high competence
regarding congresses, workshops and conferences. “ On top, the parent company Golden Tulip Hotels, Inns & Resorts
rewarded the hotel as the „Hotel of the year 2008“ of Central Europe during their annual Conference at the recently
opened Golden Tulip Antwerp Centre.
Ulrike von Albedyll of DEHOGA (Deutscher Hotel- und Gaststättenverband) presented the classification ‘Four Star Superior’.
„The four stars of the DEHOGA classification are now shining now at the entrance of the Golden Tulip Hamburg Aviation and
the annex ’Superior’ indicates the high level of service performed at the hotel.“ Roughly 8170 hotels in Germany have been
classified with one to five stars by the DEHOGA. The majority with approximately 60 per cent have three stars, 25 per cent four stars
and 1,8 per cent have been classified five star across Germany. Superior represents a further level within the class.
Holger Leisewitz, VDR (Verband Deutsches Reisemanagement e.V.), handed the classification „Certified Conference Hotel” over
to the General Manager Jan-Patrick Krueger. „The signet ’Certified Conference Hotel’ offers a huge surplus value to the customer
and the hotel. We define quality first of all in reference to the services provided and the workflow that need to be performed by
a conference hotel. “. The key criterias for the certificate are amongst others the customer support as well as the equipment and
the performance of the whole hotel.
